- "It's not every day that we get to meet a new member of the family..."
- —Paxton Fettel preparing for his third sibling to be born.
The nameless and genderless Third Child is the illegitimate child Alma Wade conceived with Sergeant Michael Becket inside the psychic amplifier.
Monolith Timeline[]
F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin[]

Pregnant Alma.
It is conceived in F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin when Alma traps Becket in a hallucination, where he fights off phantoms of Harold Keegan. Alma then proceeds to violently rape him while he's busy fighting the "hallucination-battle." When Becket finally breaks free of the vision, the device he is sealed in is unshielded by Alma; who reveals herself to be heavily pregnant. She takes his hand and places it calmly on her stomach to show that the child is Becket's, and the baby is heard whispering "Mommy."
F.E.A.R. 3[]
No details of the child's physical appearance, affiliation or abilities are revealed in F.E.A.R. 3, as the child is always concealed by blankets. However, in the official walkthrough guide, it is said that it seems Alma conceived it to get the love from the baby that she never got from her father.

The Point Man saves his new sibling.
During the game, depending on who has the highest score in co-op mode, or who the player played as in solo mode, Alma's third child will either be raised by Paxton Fettel or by the Point Man. A cutscene shows the Point Man holding the child and Alma vanishing. The city turns to calm and the Point Man walks off. It's speculated that he decided to raise the child as his own, as did Fettel in the alternate ending.
