Control Issue[]
I managed to lure some UAVs and some Replicas into the same room and they didn't attack each other which suggests that the UAVs are controlled by Replicas. Seven279 09:17, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
That sounds more like a mechanics oversight to me. UAV's are never supposed to be in the same room with anything other than you. The developers wouldn't waste time coding triggers for what they would and wouldn't attack. If the UAV's are controlled by anything (and I'd say they aren't and that they're completely autonomous elements of the ATC security network), then I'd say they're controlled by ATC Security. Yeah that's possible I did it in Flight where the Replicas drop down through the roof if you keep running and go up the stairs it triggers the UAVs to bust into the room so I ran out and they just left each other alone too bad there's no parts with ATC cops and UAVs so we could see if they attack each other. shouldn't we call these things UCAVs and not uavs becuase a UAV is only used to moniter and has no combat abilities and the Preditor drone started as a UAV but once it started carrying missiles it was called a ucav
I think Armacham UAV Flying Drone was the name that was used in the games programming but we have taken liberalities and called things what we want so calling it UCAVs (I assume 'C' stands for combat) sounds fine by me but it means we have to change all the references form UAV to UCAV. lol it's really pretty similar. UCAVs are still UAVs, just a more specific classification. I like to think of these things more of just flying drones rather than "UAVs" even, personally. Autonomous "aircraft" just seems a little too much for something that floats around indoors. Since the game code calls them by "UAV", though, I think its fine to keep it that way.
