Officially speaking, these guys are called Shades. It was said so in one of the interviews with Vivendi posted either from Gamespot or IGN, I forgot which. The other invisible guys with red eyes are called Shadow Creatures. But since these two enemies have been linked so many times here, I won't bother changing it because then I'll have to relink everything. But if someone's up for it, I'll be grateful! IceRevenant

i am guessing that these guys eat their victims. SHIT that would've made a great cutscene in the game you know with blood and the gore and screaming in agony.
