F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin[]

Later in the game, after Becket's escape from the Harbinger Facility and onto the explosion-ravaged surface of Fairport and the Auburn District, the Metro Police Cruiser makes its appearance. The streets are sometimes strewn with ash-covered, and abandoned police cruisers. It is likely that the majority of their operators, police officers, were either transformed into Specters or succumbed to becoming ash statues due to the cataclysmic explosion.

They are not to be confused with an ATC Security Sedan that is partially crushed underneath rubble found around the subway.

F.E.A.R. 3[]

Much like the previous game, the Metro Police Cruisers make another return throughout the worsening Fairport. There is more evidence to suggest that they were long abandoned shortly after the ensuing damage from the Origin Facility explosion in F.E.A.R 1, and the aftermath of fighting in F.E.A.R. 2. It can be assumed that the fleet of MPD vehicles were used to try and usher civilians out of Fairport in a mass evacuation, while also using them in conjunction with other police equipment to form makeshift crisis response centers aided by the National Guard.

Following Armacham's takeover of Fairport in F.E.A.R. 3, the Metro Police Department appears to have disbanded due to the significant loss of personnel and likely exodus of personnel. This dissolution leaves behind only their abandoned equipment as remnants of their presence.
