Jim Ward is an former American voice actor and television host, who has appeared in almost 200 video game and anime titles.

Background[]

Jim got his start in the TV movie The Macahans, which he filmed at the age of 17. He subsequently appeared in several other television series over the next 10 years, including Diff'rent Strokes and Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures. He began acting in video games with BioWare's 1996 release, Shattered Steel. He has since appeared in numerous Star Wars and Star Trek games. In 2003, he voiced Gandalf in The Hobbit video game.

He has also appeared in several popular video games series, such as Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Diablo, Dragon Age, Marvel vs. Capcom and Resident Evil.

In 2021, Ward had to retire from acting as he was diagnosed with both COVID-19 and Alzheimer's. He currently resides at the Silverado Beverly Place Memory Care Community in Los Angeles, CA.[1]

Jim Ward voices F.E.A.R. Commissioner Rodney Betters in F.E.A.R. First Encounter Assault Recon and the Nightcrawler Commander from F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate in a double role.
