Mission 1 - Clinic is the first bonus mission with F.E.A.R.: Perseus Mandate which is unlocked after beating the main story on any difficulty. As the name suggests it takes place inside a Clinic presumably in the Auburn district in Fairport prior to the Origin Facility Explosion.


Walkthrough[]

IMPORTANT: There are NO Checkpoints or saving in this mission, dying will put you back at the start!

You start out with just dual pistols in this mission. Straight ahead there is a medkit right under the D in the "DIE" graffiti. Hop over the debris and over the fence, two G2A2 Assault Rifle-wielding Replica Urban Soldiers are standing stationary. Activate Slow-Mo and take them out before they can react. Around the corner will be two more with the same weapon. Use the boxes as cover and take them out too, make sure to pick up the rifles. Next to the shopping cart on the boxes there is a G2A2 and a single N6A3 Fragmentation Grenade. Grab them and move on.

Near a bonfire there is an armor pickup on the stove and a medkit on the mattress. Procure them and head up the stairs next to the wrecked car and continue on down. At the very end is a box with two AT-14 Pistols resting on top, grab them for extra ammo. Head down the right path and into a garage. Another Urban soldier will hop out a truck armed with a VK-12 Combat Shotgun. Kill him and take his shotgun. Another shotgunner will hop out a different truck further down, and an RPL Sub-machinegun wielding soldier in the middle. The truck further down has a single medkit inside. There is a third truck but it does not contain anything inside. Head down the path near the third truck.

The path takes you down to a small courtyard. A Heavy Armor unit will walk out from the other end. He's got the HV Penetrator. You can use frags to stun him, pick him off from a distance with the G2A2 or get up and personal with the VK-12. Take his Nailgun if you need it. Head to where the Heavy Armor came from and turn left. On the table will be two AT-14s, AT-S Proximity Mines and a single G2A2. Turn the corner ahead and there will be an Armor vest on the right and a medkit on the left. When ready head through the double doors.

Four soldiers are in the small laboratory. Two with VK-12s, one with an RPL SMG, and one with the VES Advanced Rifle. Take out the VK-12s and utilize the desks for cover. Take the VK-12s if you need or anything else.  There is nothing else of interest in the room. Head to the end and through the wood door. This door leads to a small room with a bed. On this bed is an armor vest. Pick it up and head to the next door.

This door takes you to a small office complex, there are two paths you can take. There will be an SMG-wielding soldier behind so deal with him or else he'll chip away your health from behind. Two soldiers ahead are armed with VES rifles, and one armed with a shotgun. Use the pillars on the left or the office cubicles themselves as cover. Right behind you in the office cubicles will be a Health Booster on the filing cabinets. The other end of the cubicles will be a tray with an Armor Pickup and a frag grenade. A medkit is on the wall just ahead. and another one on the left above the coffee table. Head to the wooden door adjacent to the medkit on the other end of the reception area and keep going until you get to another door.

This door takes you to a large courtyard, much bigger than the other one previously. More Urban Soldiers will be patrolling it, some on the floor above. The main area has one RPL-wielding soldier and two shotgunners. Put some distance between you and the shotguns to eliminate them. There will be two more shotgunners on the floor above so make sure to have a longer range weapon handy. There is an HV Penetrator leaning on one of the benches, and a medkit next to a locked door at the end. Head towards the stairs and pick up the armor on the couch in front of it. Then head upstairs and circle around until you find an unlabeled wooden door (next to a plant in the corner and a fire alarm.)

Head through the next room and then into the next. The breakroom has an armor pickup and a frag grenade on the table directly in front of where you entered. The table on the right has another armor pick up, and a medkit at the other end, make sure to check next to the red vending machine as there is a Reflex booster partially hidden in the corner! Follow the path around until you get to a surgical room, the window on the left can allow you to get the drop on the upcoming enemies. There will be several Replica Elite Soldiers and Urbans. Two elites will have a VK-12 and one of the Urbans will have a VES. Your biggest issue is that one of the Elites happens to have a K3-BT Grenade Launcher, that will kill you instantly on most difficulties. Use Slow-Mo to avoid the grenades at all costs and eliminate him quickly, use a Penetrator if you have one. If not strafe until you get close enough to blow him away with a VK-12. There is nothing of use, so head towards where the Replica entered. Take the launcher if you need it.

The next room will have a Laser Elite soldier with the Type-12 Laser Carbine, and his Urban bodyguard armed with another VES. Make sure to get cover as the laser carbine will cut you clean. Once the two are taken out, there are two AT-14 pistols near where you entered on the counter and two armor pick ups. A medkit is near the exit. There is also a fire extinguisher you could use during the fight. Head towards the morgue and down the stairs to the bottom and enter the wooden door. In the next room near the exit will be a short crate. Smash it and inside should be a reflex booster. Enter the next room via the red door.

The red door takes you to a small break room with a cache of goods. On the table is an armor pick up and a single AP-5 Deployable Turret. A gun rack near the exit has four ASP Rifles and two G2A2 Assault Rifles and right of that a single medkit on the wall. Grab what you need and enter the morgue. Inside there are no longer Replicas, but Nightcrawler Mercenaries. All except one are armed with an VES, the other is armed with an LP4 Lightning Arc Weapon, take out the Arc-wielder at all costs. Once the soldiers are killed, the red door at the end will open as three more exit. Two armed with the VES and another with an LP4. There is an armor pickup on the right close to where you entered, a medkit just a bit ahead, more armor on the furthest sink, another medkit near the exit and armor right next to it. Use the LP4s in the fight if you want against the Nightcrawlers then head towards the exit. Keep following that small hallway around and out the exit door which takes you outside.

The level ends as you walk off to the city.

Trivia[]

  • This and Mission 2 - Arena are the only levels where Replica use the VES Advanced Rifle.
