Day 1 Studios is a game developer operating in Chicago, Illinois and Hunt Valley, Maryland.
History[]
The company was brought on by Monolith Productions as the developer of the final instalment of the F.E.A.R. series, F.E.A.R. 3. The studio had initially worked with Monolith to develop the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of F.E.A.R. First Encounter Assault Recon. Following Monolith's acquisition by WarnerMedia, Vivendi brought Day 1 on to develop a prospective F.E.A.R. 2 with the proviso of their not being able to use any of the characters from the first game. During pre-production, WarnerMedia acquired Vivendi and Day 1 reached an agreement with Monolith where Monolith would develop the second game and Day 1 the third. Following the release of the game. The Company laid off about 90% of their employees, due to their failure of the of Konami Deal with Silent Hill Arcade. In January 29 2013, the Wargaming Net, a company whose have involving the World of Tanks from Belarus have acquired the developer. Afterwards, the developer had rename the company name as Wargaming Chicago-Baltimore.
