The Black Ops APC is the primary form of transport for the Armacham Black Ops security detachment under the command of former Marine colonel Richard Vanek in F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin. These APCs are owned and operated by Armacham Technology Corporation, but are either hijacked or jointly used by Replicas.
It should not be confused with the Armored Truck from F.E.A.R. First Encounter Assault Recon.
Monolith Timeline[]
F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin[]
The design of the Black Ops APC is far more durable for urban warfare and more than likely able to hold its own against vehicle-borne targets, such as the Dark Signal APC. It possesses a rapid fire machine gun turret on its top, able to flank an unsuspecting player. The turret mounted on the APC is only used once by the enemy throughout the game.
It is first seen in the third interval "Recognition" in the level Withdrawal. When Becket approaches a walkway leading over a massive dirt roadway connected via tunnels, an APC immediately speeds past and pays no focus to the player.
After Becket descends the ladder, another APC will swiftly pass through the tunnel without paying any attention to the player. Following closely behind the truck is a small group of Armacham Black Ops, possibly offering cover fire from behind the truck since the tight space of the Outer Shell makes it impractical to use its turret. Similar to the first truck, it turns the corner and disappears deeper into the tunnel system.
The last sighting of the APC is close to the end of Withdrawal when Becket approaches a stationary APC, which is likely the same one he saw speeding through the tunnels earlier. It contains a Black Ops Pyro who quickly exits the vehicle before the truck swiftly drives away. After this encounter, there are no more APCs encountered in the level or for a significant portion of the game.
The player sees one again in the level Top, where it drives up to the motel and attempts to mow down Keira Stokes. However, Michael Becket is able to destroy its turret. This time, it is clearly piloted by Replicas. Afterwards, the APC deploys a few Replica troops, and remains parked in the parking lot after Becket leaves the area. Although the APC is indestructible, it poses no threat after it loses its turret. Following the level, the APC isn't encountered again for the rest of the game.

Trivia[]
- The Black Ops appear to use an APC in the tunnels leading out of the Harbinger Facility being escorted from the rear by a small fireteam.
- The Black Ops APC in F.E.A.R. 2 is inspired by the International MaxxPro, also manufactured by Navistar International.
- It's interesting to note that the APC at one point is used by Replica Forces, although they were likely intended for ATC Black Ops usage. This suggests that this particular model was likely designed to be used by both sides before Alma's awakening of the Replicas.
- It could have also been hijacked by Replicas, but this seems unlikely.
