F.E.A.R. First Encounter Assault ReconEdit

Aldus Bishop is an employee of Armacham Technology Corporation who had been assigned to a special task force working under Harlan Wade. Dispatched along with Alice Wade to put together a survey of the Auburn District over the past 25 years, he agrees with Alice in that she might "be on to something" in regards to what she has discovered about water contamination in the area. Bishop's office is located on the ninth floor of the main building of Armacham Headquarters.

In the game, Bishop is taken hostage by Replica forces, to await interrogation by Paxton Fettel regarding the location of a senior Origin researcher, Harlan Wade. When the F.E.A.R. Point Man reaches him, he is found to have been brutally beaten by the Replicas, as well as booby-trapped with C4 explosives, which are promptly defused by Delta Force Unit Leader Douglas Holiday. Note worthy, he is happy to find help, is not hesitant to leave the building, and is cooperative with F.E.A.R.

As Holiday begins to defuse the C4 bombs wrapped around him, he is very anxious for the explosives to be removed and is not feeling better when Holiday comments that "Whoever rigged this was definitely a pro".

Bishop is later killed by the very organization that hired him, just as he is being evacuated by helicopter. His death serves as a chilling reminder of the extent to which Armacham is willing to go to cover up the events surrounding Project Origin, even if it means killing their own employees.

  • Even if players close the storage door that Bishop is in (when it is required to leave him and escort Douglas Holiday), he somehow manages to get the door open and roll himself out of the room.
